Inventer Rome…who we are

Created in 2006 by a French group of professionals, experts, lovers and enthusiasts living in Rome and deeply fascinated by the inexhaustible nature of this city and all the traces left in it by history, the association Inventer Rome has the main goal of discovering and sharing history, art, culture, urban planning and more…of the enchanting “Eternal City”.

Visiting Palazzo Farnese

The French Embassy in Rome entrusted to our association the organisation of the tours of Palazzo Farnese, jewel of Renaissance in Rome.
The tours offer the opportunity to discover the Sangallo’s atrium, the courtyard, the garden, the Hercules salon – with its tapestries inspired to Raffaello’s frescos – and the Carracci Gallery, masterpiece of the Italian art, entirely restored after 18 months of works (from March 2014 to September 2015).
On fridays, the tour of 5 p.m. will include also the visit of the library of the “École Française de Rome”, specialized in archeology and history of the Mediterranean area and in social Sciences and situated – since the 19th century – on the second floor of Palazzo Farnese.

Visiting Villa Bonaparte

The French Embassy to the Holy See has entrusted to our association the organization of the tours in Villa Bonaparte. The Villa was built in 1750 by Cardinal Silvio Valenti Gonzaga and then, between 1816 and 1906, it has become of Paolina Bonaparte and her successors’ property.
From 1950, former Villa Valenti hosts the French Embassy to the Holy See.
